Suggestion was to stay in Doolin. Where are we fishing? Ballyreen (not too much in the way of rock hopping, I hope)?

ballyreen is fine John. Pretty much all flat rocks.
A five minute walk down and probably 10 minutes back up.
with a few rocks to negotiate.
It will be easier than a 40 peg walk on a soft sand beach.
Once you are at your peg you are fishing off large flat rocks above the waterline.
