biggest ray in the bay clifden co galway 2014

the date has been set for biggest ray in the bay 2014
it is going to be on Saturday 23th august fishing between 11:00 and 18:00
low tide at 10:47 1.4m high tide at 17:05 4.5m
it will be a fundraiser for the rnli life boats
the competition will be open to everyone
prize fund and other details are being worked on at the moment
will post them up when i know more
at the moment there is 500 euro in the pot for first prize but we are still in talks about getting more money

spaces will be limited so if you are interested please email clifdensea@gmail.com with your details and we will send on more details when everything is finalized

also plans for a air sea rescue display with the new sikorsky s92 helicopter and the new all weather lifeboat which is going on trail in clifden next year are being worked on as well

its looking like its going to be a good year for ray
they are showing up early,myself and joe fished a spot that i never got a ray in before and we got 3 ray up to 6lbs,lost 2 more good fish as well
