Out of cork last week, many macks around in deeper water, hyabusas ex111 only feathers they were taking. Six a time of nice sized macks, did get a couple in harbour taking the flatty rigs on the drop.

Had three out of Cork Harbour last week. About a mile off-shore. Didn't make good eating though. Should have used them for bait.

First personal macks of 2014 from cousin's RIB off sun-scorched Ventry at the weekend. Full string of nice ones on first drop in the midst of dive-bombing seabirds, then filled a bucketful for a barby before motoring on to the Blaskets to re-enact the Normandy landings.... Lot of dolphin activity and foul-hooked a few launce so looks like summer is truly here.

On Sunday we had a handful just outside Carlingford - I caught 2 and the others had 1 or 2 each. They were a good size but rather few.
