No fishing allowed on Greystones harbour

#1 Post by Happy daze »

Just a heads up, I was intending to do a spot of fishing on the newly opened north pier before the group of Eastern Europeans got there as they keep everything they catch regardless of what it is and the size of it, however I was stopped in my tracks with "no fishing" signs so I went to the south pier but they've put the signs up there too...
Have to say the south pier was very messy with empty beer bottles and discarded traces... It's no wonder they've put the signs up..

I think youve hit the nail on the head - the so called anglers (regardless of nationality!) ruining it for everyone else
its the thin edge of the wedge, more and more harbour/piers are going this way, which means more and more references for councils wanting to ban beach angling etc.
