Poolbeg

#1 Post by alexthefisherman »

People: Myself and Frank

Duration: 7pm-3am

Tide: high was 4.30am ish

Weather: southerly breeze, got stronger as the tide came in

Bait: fresh and frozen peeler

Rigs: pulleys

Results: 1 smoothy, 1 thornback, 1 LSD.

Report:

fished at the lighthouse for an hour or two, then down to the half-moon, where we were soon joined by 4 lads who hopped in without asking, which made things cramped to say the least. frank picked up a smoothy which dropped off at the wall, and then got a thorny and an LSD. i blanked apart from a pin whiting.

it was 4 asian lads with 4 rods on one tripod and two baited traps over the edge literally shoulder to shoulder with us. Nearing ended up in the sea after tripping over one of their ropes from the traps!

Good man Roger, Think I was talking to them the other day.
They asked me, "what are you fishing for".
I replied, "because i don't like golf".

You will have to park the car at the car park and walk up the pier... Unless u bring a push bike with you , then that saves the long walk.. Lol
