Waterford Bass 02/05/14

#1 Post by Bassy Tom »

People:Me + 3 buddies

Duration:3 hrs

Tide: High Water

Weather:Cloudy, Dry, Mild SE Wind

Bait:Various Shallow Divers & Soft Plastics

Rigs:

Results:1 Bass 42cm

Report:With the water temp rising and the weather and tides looking good, i decided to hit a local coastal rock mark. After trying various shallow divers and soft plastics without success i thought it was time to experiment with the soft plastics a little. Glad i did as 3 or 4 casts later i landed a very energetic 42cm Bass. My first Bass from a coastal rock mark this year, Happy Days!

Congrats chief, nice fish. Were you fishing the 2 soft plastics pictured together? I can't make out from the pic.

great idea, i have been reading about small lures above to give impression of a chase. the bass think the chaser is distracted.
Always CAR! unless its a pollock...!

2012 species: Pollock, Mack, Coalfish, Gurnard, Bullhuss, Dogfish and Wrasse.
Would do anything for a bass!
