Blank blank blank blank BOOM

#1 Post by Deise boy »

Went out for a flick Monday.

Cleaned house
Varnished decking
Pressure cleaned around house.
Was deserved a little flick.
Headed out to new nark

Tired of blanks

Outgoing tide

East breeze ( slight )

Very sunny.
Waders in rod set

Blue sparkle 9gr minnow.

5th flick Image

Delighted nice 6 to 7lb bass. Had no scales with me.

Another few flicks with a navarone.

Bang. Wtf was my first words.

Image

Sadly the second fellow never made it he swallowed the whole lure which was de barbed and middle hook taken off.

Some day out though.

Bring it on again.

I'm back

Had no scales asked a guy about the weight he gave me that number.

I'm not a pro angler or anything mate. And didn't give a shite.
I caught bass.

That will do me.

Sorry can't live up to other peoples specimen standards.

No worries, we are all here to learn more and gain more info, if it wasn't me that said it there are plenty on here that would have pointed it out. You can get a measuring tape for your next trip and that will give you a more accurate weight, that's if you don't want to carry a scales, then just ask on here. Good luck, tight lines and well done on your Bass.

Well done on getting a few fish. 8) Pity the second fish didn't make it as well, especially been just a wee lad,but if deep hooked what can you do :?: A measuring tape can be used to get an approximate weight using a length to weight conversion which has been designed with bass in mind.So might be a handy thing to add to the arsenal if you don't want to carry a sales.

Come the end of July august the tape is fairly on the ball for a accurate weight.

They are approximate and as Razor says come mid season they are a bit more accurate .At least it would give some indication as to a weight. If a person wants the real McCoy then get a good scales and certify the thing in case a fish of a lifetime comes along.
