i'd say that image is photoshopped but saying that the umbrella rig is big in some states (banned in others) across the pond. tournament anglers use them to fish 5 small shads for bass over there in an attempt to mimic a small shoal of baitfish. have to say i don't think it would be my cup of tea

it IS taking the pi@@ i.e. its only a joke and for a bit of craic, its a gimmick.
ok so it might be realistically capable of catching a fish but its just not realistic to be using it all the time
that rod couldn't handle too many fish if they hit those big(ish) lures
its a laugh

Honestly lads they are used in places there meant to be pulled behind boat bit are used by anglers.
Hate to be untying a know in them.

Why not just use a net or a stick of dynamite.

Have seen a Russian lad use something similar for dragging across clean beaches but not that big....crazy man

Take the pic down before the mack bashers get ideas. I can just imagine it on ballycotton pier, 5 lads with the umbrella rig and a string of 6 feathers hanging off each section.
