Can one lure get you more fish yes it can.As Declan said above right time right place.I fish with a guy who brought Bassbombs to Ireland to be fair he did have 250 plus lure caught bass on them last year. But i think the times he fished where key to his catch rate.Where I fished most of the time light to dark ,he fished dark to light now I did have a good fish on this lure. But to find them is the hardest part and knowing when to fish and that would go for bait as well they easy to catch. And yes I'm an addict too Help me Jesus help me lol

There is no such thing as owning too many lures.

That's my justification.

I can see this getting complicated.
Due to the lures being maybe copies of the originals they don't swim / move / dive live the originals. But people will say they work as well as originals others will say different.
I myself bought the cheap ones before and found they absolute shite to cast / retrieve / work as they should.
Others will say different.
Everyone to there own opinion.
Let the debate begin

I've not been out for bass with em yet, but use them for pike with good success.

declan65 wrote:Lads, Lads, Lads...I have enough hard lures and soft plastics to fill my own shop  but here's the thing the same old lures get used every trip because they have caught for me in the past and will continue to do so   , a wise lad on this forum can catch Bass with a H.M.L. (end of a teaspoon with a treble at one end and a swivel at the other) which proves to me that the hardest thing about catching Bass is finding them   . Every year tackle shops have the latest, greatest, guaranteed to catch fish, shiny , flashing( plate) high end lure from Japan ( by the way I use them too) which are guaranteed to catch anglers that's for sure. I'm not against new lures, new technology etc but a kilty will catch Bass and the Bass don't care whether or not your lure cost 28 yoyo's. If someone can prove to me that the actual lure used is responsible for their catch and not the fact that the fish were feeding and you presented the lure correctly in the right location at the right time etc then I'll take it all back but nine times out of ten it's finding them that counts.
A recovering addict!!!!!!

you have said it in 1 the lures catch the anglers and most times not the fish  whats the point in having 50 lures i guarantee half dont get used but the word for it is tackle tart im like that with my beach gear it is addictive and have to tell yourself i dont need anymore :)

1 of my mates makes his own spinners from a mould and puts this silver film reflective hard wearing tape on them and he has pulled out many of bass in dublin on them

If say that was some buzz! :-)

Seriously It had taken me some time to learn that lure choice is about 8th or 9th on a list of ten essentials needed to catch a bass. I still buy new lures like an idiot, god knows why, I could survive for the rest of my life on a Kilty lure, a white feed shallow and one of about 10 weedless soft plastics I use. Maybe a patchinko for the surface.
Top 3 lure caught bass 2017 :
10Ib 5 oz
9Ib 2oz
8Ib 11oz
