Will try to make both, not 100% sure at moment whether or not ill make the shore comp but will certainly try. Count me in for the boat comp all the same. Are there many lads planning on fishing both and if so whats the story on accomodation? Are we all packing tents etc?

Hello all,
haven't met any of you. Running a marathon in Connemara took my concentration for a lot of the year to date. I won't be there in Wexford this weekend but I'm looking forward to competing very soon.

tight lines to all

Lads, Im sorry but Im going to have to cry off this one Im afraid, have a bit of business to sort out in Donegal on Monday so going to have to travel north instead. Hope you get a decent turnout and the fishing is much improved from the Clare Comp..... Best of luck lads and see you at the next one.

Any ideas on a meeting place? Can I suggest outside Sean Og's pub in Kilmuckridge 1.5 - 2 hours before the off. I know we usually meet an hour before but then by the time we get pegs etc sorted were pressed for time.

Hello all.
Seaniebo, I was going to suggest a couple of hours early myself but don't think it will take that long to set out 4 pegs :(
Not looking good for numbers AGAIN.
As I have never fished the Wexford coast before and don't know about species, baits, or anything for that matter  I was hoping to get there in the morning and sus the place out.

Fished it a fair few times myself Coaster, should be tonnes of dogs knocking about, and a fair few dabs and flounders, small smoothies and rockling very possible too. Tide not ideal, better to fish from low up, but I'm pretty sure there'll be more than a dozen fish per angler in a 5 hour session, (although very occasionally you can't buy a bite here).

Sandeel and crab are top baits aswell as worms for attracting the flats, Sean, Coaster & JD, I've sent you all PM's with my mobile no.

If the fishing is any good I might stay on and fish it till the wee hours, I'm stayin with the family, about 5 minutes from the beach.

Anyone want to suggest a time for meeting, Sean Ogs is fine with me!

Lads,

I'm just back from a mayfly weekend on Lough Corrib so all my brownie points passes are used up. I'll be changing nappies and wheeling the pram all day Saturday.

John I may make the boat outing on Sunday so I will text you before Friday and let you know for definite then.

Hope the fishing is good and I 'll definitely see you at the next one.

Donal.
