Highlight of 2013????

My highlight is catching my first bass in cloghane. On a beautiful day. 50cm of pure silver on a €2 lure....MAGIC!!!!
Always CAR! unless its a pollock...!

2012 species: Pollock, Mack, Coalfish, Gurnard, Bullhuss, Dogfish and Wrasse.
Would do anything for a bass!

My highlight was probably bringing my 4yo out a few times and him catching his 1st wrasse.Image

I caught my first sea trout this year. I spent a fair bit of time and money (licence, waders, lures & books) chasing it so got great satisfaction when finally caught one.

I was handed a copy of tsf magazine jan 2014 issue and i see your lad conor is on page 15, well done to that young man 8) also great to see him wearing his pfd 8) safety is the first lesson all kids should be thought when near the water :D :wink:

I didn't do as much fishing this year as I would have liked as I had an operation on my elbow.
Best fish of the year for me this year I think was this flounder at Youghal, during the last Sea Angling Ireland SAC club match of the year.

My highlight was getting my first bass in 2 years, on the west coast, then my next session getting another one, bigger,. :mrgreen: . A year I won't forget.

Turning to the light lure rods for boat fishing and hooking a near Double figure cod. Also catching bass on the lure from the exact same shore mark 3 days in a row within 15 minutes of the first cast, sweet.

Highlight of my year was having fished with the son since he was a small fella and then he hit 13 :roll: But one day after he was banging on about how fishing with me bored the pants off him. I myself sat back and said what a days fishing close on 50 fish nothing to write home about in size but when you see the your moaning young fella with a smile on his face just from fishing what can you say. Thanks to the man that gave me the mark :wink:

That might be my new highlight now:D
They spelt his name wrong and got his age wrong, the only 2 things he can read:roll:. He wasnt too put out tho, just delighted to see himself in it. I only bring him where its safe for a 4yo but hes still not allowed near the water till his life jacket is on him. He knows this himself and grabs it as he gets out of the car.

Highlite of my 2013 fishing season was catching 4 bass in 2 hours on a bass rod using a 3 oz lead what sport.
