you could try around hook head,but you would want to know the area,where were you thinking of,dungarvan also,but best know the area and maybe get someone to acompany you,have you a vhf flares life jacket etc,a lot of the lads on here have fantastic experience of kayaks,and also on boat angling ireland,eddie...

The hook not the best place to go in terms of safety. If you have s smartphone, it might be worth downloading some plotter software like navionics and looking for some accessible reefs by having a look for shallower water. Best of luck

I do have a flare and life jacket well I was thinking of fishing the coper coast.
