Boats.net to the rescue
The tilt/trim motor on my Honda BF50 failed a while back, and I priced a replacement from Honda. Horror! So I tracked down the same part online for way less at Boats.net in the US, paid the money, and it duly arrived 10 days or so later. More horror - it was the wrong part... Turned out my engine wasn't fitted with the t/t unit matching the serial number, but an earlier version. Long story short, Boats.net told me to send the part back and refunded everything, including all shipping costs, and then tracked down the correct part from photos I sent them. Everything now back working again, thanks to their brilliant service.

They wont ship mercury/mariner... not their fault I know, but I've yet to use them for that reason.... but they were very friendly when contacted!

Why not, I wonder? They seem to have every part for every outboard on the planet.
