Cork Bass

#1 Post by sailnfish »

People:me

Duration:20 minutes

Tide:ebbing

Weather:fair and breezy

Bait:Fiiish black minnow 120mm on 25g offshore jig head

Rigs:snap swivel straight to the braid

Results: 54cm Bass

Report:
Gave the black minnow another whirl today on the trusty Abu devil and landed a nice, 54cm bass. This lure is doing the business for me since I got it last Saturday.

You're spot on there. I hooked into an even better fish today and lost it at the surface  they're definitely feeding like mad around cork at the minute. I can safely say I have never had bass three days in a row here before. And considering I spent only 15-20 minutes fishing each day it's great, long may it last. Cheers

Lovely chunky fish there, fair play. Btw is there anywhere in Cork selling the black minnow lures or did you have to source them from further afield?
