talkin to a few lads today in the shop, the fishing is alright happy enough all round! 126 lads fishing it including 8 former or current world champions (couldn't remember) plenty ray around but no actual results heard! Most are using small sandeel 3-3.5 inches and no bigger!
A bad days fishing is still better then a good day at the office.
Species of 2014 (1): Pollock
Species of 2013 (13): (coarse) Brown Trout, Seatrout, Salmon
(sea) Pollock, Mackerel, Cod, Ling, Bass, Dogfish, Coalie, Ballan Wrasse, Cuckoo Wrasse, Mullet
Species of 2012 (11): (coarse) brown trout, seatrout, pike, roach
(sea) mackerel, Spanish mackerel, pollock, cuckoo wrasse, coalie, cod, dogfish, bass
slightly more comprehensive info today, with the fine weather landing here the fishing has vanished yesterday and today an awful amount of blanks 47 out of 62 at Banna strand and a handful more with the other group of lads (can't remember what the other location was). Overall the morale of the few into the shop every morning has taken a hammering! So not good at the minute

Banna was an absolute nightmare, many lads gave up, completely unfishable, the majority of pegs from the main car park was full of weed, maybe twenty to thirty feet of solid weed, two small flats won my zone, a bass won another zone, the top zone was alot better...
I don't understand why the organisers didn't peg from sandy lane down because there was about 500 feet of beach that was 100 times better then down the bottom zone...
