Hi Joe,

My mate has just bought one. He paid €220 for it and for the money it is an absolute steal. It is very very thin and seems very stiff but when you wind it up to cast it the rod loads beautifully, I was really impressed with. you won't believe how thin the butt section is. The tip looks thin and sensitive enough but can't tell you what bite detection is like. If I was looking for a new beach rod I'd buy one.

It came with one of those penn adjusti lock reel seats or whatever they are. Don't like 'em, they're rubbish, for one thing you couldn't lock in down on the blank and they are very bulky underhand which is such a shame on such a lovely thin blank. Prefer the ABU griplok's plus you get a nice trigger grip with 'em.

I bought a PPT Jetstream recently - similar features to those mentioned by Liamo above - great rod.

The reel seat however is crap :( :( . It was removed after the first session and replaced with coasters.

I tried to get one of the Abu grip lock jobs with the trigger but because of the thin rod blank, I couldn't get one to fit :(

But as I said - great rod (and mine is a 4 piece    )
