Pollock Rod Busters

#1 Post by razor2 »

People:Me, Jack,

Duration:Last few weeks

Tide:All tides

Weather:Sunny

Rigs:Hard lures, Soft Plastics, Spinners

Results:

Pollock at times have buckled the rod for me and Jack the last few weeks with a few sessions resulting in close to 50 fish. One Saturday we started fishing at 2pm and had fish nearly every cast till 9 that evening most pollock, macs, wrasse and the odd bass. Pollock cant half fight ripping line from the reel on the light gear .

In my honest opinion a 3lb pollock over deep water wins hands down over a 3lb bass for power. On one of the days we fished we went home with our arms hanging off us from pollock buckling the rods. Fishing mostly deep water marks so pollock was what we wanted with some lost fish due to bent hooks and maybe our best size pollock but we will never know
