Report:
I have to back Ashley haydens report re ennerilly.spent 8 hrs fishing and not even a doggie.i have fished this beach for over 35 yrs this is the first time I have blanked on it.i cant believe it was so bad.i had fresh launce for ray all baits came back untouched.there is something drastically wrong there.i fished club comps there and you would need 60/70 dogs plus hounds to figure in the prizes.it is a shadow of its former self.we couldn't even catch small flats in the gutter with rag on sz 2. hooks.i just cant believe it.

Ennareilly has always produced for me on the drop, never been the best place for me on the rise, and especially when conditions are perfect for hounds I always seem to have a poor nite. I've had double figures off that beach this year, and also nites with 10+ hounds over the 7lb mark. Have also seen a double figure hound this year when the water was so rough, you wouldn't even fancy a bass being there. I have fished that beach just about every weekend in the summer since I've been fishing in Ireland. And to be honest the fishing this year has been better than the last 3 years, since I got back into fishing.

Hard luck on the Blank Greg. Only fished Ennereilly 4 times this year but with very little success. I know it can be good for hounds but the lack of species diversity is worrying.
It ain't easy but it sure is simple!

thank god somebody is catching off ennerily.i presume all the fish are coming on night tides on the drop.i would also think you are using crab for the hounds.was very strange that no doggies showed come dark last night.shane did you have any doggies with your hounds.

I think I've had like 3 doggies this summer there, I've not used any bait apart from fresh crab. I've had plaice, flounder and gurnard. Loads off tope pups lately, and not as many hound pups. Will be fishing there abouts tonite, hopefully it fishes better than it has done the past few weeks. But so far this year it has been better to me than the previous 3years.
