Carlisle Pier Cork, 21/07/13

#1 Post by bouncer965 »

Me:

2 hrs before high tide 2 hrs after.:

Tide:

overcast but mild bit windy:

Various lures and soft plastics, Mackerel, Lug, Sandeel:

Float, :

900 thorns.:

Thought i'd try my luck at carlisle pier. One hell of a job to get down to the pier, totally overgrown and got cut to pieces. Got down to the pier all gear intact but me not. A lot of weed coming in set up some weedless plastics but got nothing, the float only got me a crab ut first time using one for me but gonna try the high tide early morning from Ballycotton and see if i can get a Wrasse or a Mackie.

If your thinking of trying Carlsle be prepared to fight your way through, couldnt even see the path in front of me it was so overgrown. Oh well had a jolly out so not complaining now to get forty winks and head down to ballycotton around 1.30-2.00 for the high tide later.
:
Catches for 2012: Pollock, Mackerel, Dogfish, Sea Trout, Ballen Wrasse

And more to come on the end of my line ............
