I have had good luck with them, but its the softys that are really soft, more like sponge.

I often fish for bass and hounds with a mixture of peelers and softies and don't find much difference between the two for catch rates have caught both on softies and peelers

I'd have more faith in slightly popping peelers ;)

I had great success last weekend on softies. Never used them before, but was impressed. I had peelers and softies and caught most of the fish on the softies.

Watched a guy on sat nite use a hard back broke in half cast out 30 yards and he landed a nice hound off atleast 6lb. He came to fish a session with one lug, 6 muscles and 4 hard backs. I've found if you can keep a softy on whole then the hounds love them.
