Nth Wexford

#1 Post by Sparks43 »

People:4

Duration:7pm-9am

Tide:Weird

Weather:Weathery

Bait:Lug Rag Mack Peeler Sardine Edible peeler Shrimp Hermits

Rigs:Pulley ,Running Ledger ,3 hook ,2 hook

Results:1 Bass, Few smuts, 1 Tub Gurnard ,1 Dab and more Doggies then bloody Crufts

Report:

Bass 2lb 15oz
Biggest smut under 3lb
Dab 27cm

Sardine shows some promise as bait took some pup hounds and some doggies

Bass fell to Lug

Tried size 10 hooks tied to 10lb snoods tonight light gear and caught a very drunk off Dogfish.Thinking of selling beach gear and taking up LRF.

Crazy discovery the Vulcan nerve pinch works on Dogfish press gently under the bone of his chin and he turns into a sleeping mutt if you get it right. No harm done to the fish and quite funny to see.

Cant get my head around the tides in certain parts of Wexford in the past i have done 24 hour sessions and i have seen it happen that only one high tide properly floods was strange again tonight.

Where the bloody hell are the East Coast Ray? All i wanted was one  Dont fancy having to go west to either Limerick or Galway to get them.

Shrimp useless for bait

Hermit no good tonight

30 Hours now without sleep and i now get a bloody second wind (4 cold bottles of beer will sort that)

Well done,,,,you could have tried the Vulcan mind meld on one of those fish to see where the Ray are hanging out  "My mind is your mind,,,,,,your mind is my mind,,,,,,my thoughts are your thought's,,,your thoughts are my thoughts,,,,,,,now where are those pesky Ray?"
