East cork 24/06/13

#1 Post by cod chaser »

People: Myself
Duration: 3 hours
Tide: Full at 19:00
Weather: s/w wind cool & cloudy
Bait: lures & sand eel slugs
Results: 1 Bass
Arrived at my chosen mark 2 hrs before hight tide. Water was choppy so moved a few hundred meters to deeper water so I could fish off a ledge. Had a tackle house feed shallow already on gave it a few casts & noticed the water was coloured so changed lure to a mega bass zonk yellow gataride. After 3 casts fish on about 20 meters out & gave a good run taking several meters of braid.
Got the bass up into a pool took a few photos & released it. A bass after less that 10 minutes taught I was in for a great bass session. Not a touch after that fished on for 3 more hours using different lures & finished up using a savage gear pearl sand eel slug. That fishing !

Lovely bar of silver, its happened to me on many occasion a few casts and your into a bass, you then say strap yourself in cause your going to be catching for the next few hours, only for the bass to move on. It still beats blanking any day, well done.
