I have a 2009 Suzuki DF70, it make a grinding noise when put into gear (forward and reverse)
its allways done it so I never paid it any attention but is this normal??
More than likely it is normal!
You probably find that if your shift is slow then the grinding is worse. A positive quicker shift and the grinding is less...
Certainly my Mariner F100 will give a little grind.
it is advised to go from neutral to forward/reverse quickly, as going slowly will cause the clutch dog to wear against the gears hence the grating sound your getting.
There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot
