Floating

#1 Post by marklocko »

Myself

Two hours

Two hours before HW:

Sunny with a south west breeze :

Rag:

Floating a single hook :

Pollack:

With the cracking weather What else would you have to do but get out and wet your line.
I decided to try something different, I Went rock fishing using a 5 pound line and my trout reel. I floated rag a few feet out from the rocks. Within minutes my float went under I struck !! and missed, after a few bites and missis I finally found the knack for it.
I landed 6 pollack about The size of your hand. Have to say its a lovely light way to fish and with the light line and rod you can really feel the knocks on the rod.
Can't wait to try it for a few mackerel :D

Its one of my favourite ways to fish. You cant beat the peace and quiet while watching a float bob up and down.
