unusual bait gathering.

#1 Post by scara »

I was down beside the river digging bait with me m8 right tight aginst the water. getting loads of rag to about 6inchs(one every other fork full). went to wash the fork in the river when finished and noticed out in the bed of the river in about a foot of water loads of really big spores.
Dug up about 3inches at a spore and brought up 3 big black lug lying across the forks. 12 fork fulls later and we had 18 big black lug. the gound is like silt. Guess i'll be ordering a bait pump. weird that this part of the river hardly ever is dry, spring tide after a week with out rain when there no water in the river.

I've dug bait here all my life as has my father. and never noticed this before, he though i was taking the piss when i told him..

Just shows what trying something diffrent can through up.
