Waterford bass

People:myself and Clive

Duration:few hours in the afternoon and night

Tide:before high water

Weather:lovely but breezy

Bait:crab lug

Rigs:pulley

Results:4 bass 3 flounder and Clive got 1 bass




Report:hearing the buzz going around about hounds and bass been caught i wasn't sure where to go till Clive Power from Waterford convinced me to head down to him his Dad and mates all been getting some nice fish :roll: and so happy :mrgreen: i did' went down meet up with Clive and he showed me a place i was before but could not fish cause of the weed so we had the rods out 15 mins and i got a good bite so i reeled it in seen this thing hitting the surface Clive looked at me we thought it was a small ray when it was a big flounder 3lb 8oz then other one 2lb 4oz then Clive shouted when i looked he had a bass in his hand 4lbs then Clive had to run caues he was to play a hurley and said he was looking forward to night time when it be a lot better so we head off i went to get a bite to eat and enjoyed around Waterford for a few hours then went back to the beach set up the rods when Clive text me to say he was in hospital getting a x-ray on his hand so i was on me Todd for the night and high tide was after 2am so i said to myself that if get a few fish before then i would head home so 1st bass around 9.30 and the last one about 11 and a other nice flounder but didn't weight it' the biggest bass i had nearly 4 pounds had 2 that size one over 3 pounds 1 over 2 pounds. would like to thank Clive for the invite and would defo go back again :wink:

Crackin session lads 3.8lb flounder mustve been like a dustbin lid
