Just looked up a fishing map on the CFB site and they dint list any place in Sligo that you can dig rag. This map is pretty much spot on for Waterford so it doesn't look good.

Sorry.

I was chatting to the guy in the tackle shop in tesco car park and he told me that he can get it posted up from Wexford, but it is only worth doing when he has a big order because the worms don't keep for very long.

in general.....
Try places with a gravelly shore or with lots of flat stones. lift up stones and check under neath replace stones carefully so more worms come back is what I've heard.

Hi Shane,

I asked this question before and was told that " the the only place that you can order Rag is in the Value shop in Wine Street car park. They are dear and they come up from Dublin. From my experience they are not great."

I never tried there because as I am comming from Dublin I buy my rag here and keep it in the fridge and then a cooler bag on my way down. Normally keeps for a few days.

Why are ragworm so expensive to buy, are they in short supply or something? I'm guessing yes, can they not be farmed?
