Searching out razor lately in 2 different tackle shops found they had frozen "blood razor". Maybe i missed the bus or something but have these been around long?, are they any good ?, where do they come from? Cheers

I was only talkin to a lad the other night about them. Both of us bought them to try out and neither of us had caught anything on them but have had fish on normal razor. The fishing hasnt been the best so im not writing them off yet.
Their very messy and soft compared to the larger razor we're used to, i found a baiting needle very handy with them buf the elastic cuts thru them too easily. Im gonna chance salting them to try them that way. Ive done it with lug and caught fish so its worth a go. The lad i bought them off said they were mainly used by boat anglers for wrasse so im gonna try them on the float during the summer.

I've heard a rumor recently they are THE new bait for western anglers and are imported deep frozen from the far east on a monthly basis. Period. Maybe there is the odd string attached  :)
