Shimano TLD 20 speed problem

#1 Post by seank »

Hi lads,

Have a bit of a problem with my tld 2 speed, the gears seem to be off or something the arm swings both ways and causes the reel to spin out of control. Ive weekend shark fishing booked end of June like to have her back in action for then. Very annoying considering how much the thing cost me few years back. Had no need for it, bit of a silly buy and now the one time it come into its own its not working :?

Does anyone know of anybody who services reels in Ireland? In particular shimano tlds

Im not sure is this the right thread to be posting on but any help would be appreciated :D

Did you try asking Dougie in "A Shore Thing" down at the quays in Westport? A mine of information, help and advice.

If you mean the handle backwards swings it sounds very much like anti-reverse dog assembly.

Dont feel confident in servicing it myself man, not mechanically minded at all. Thanks for the link though :)
