south wexford

#1 Post by mitch »

People:4 of us

Duration:7.30 to 12.30 am

Tide:last 2 hrs drop and then rise

Weather:freezing

Bait:lug/crab/mack/razor

Rigs:everything

Results:flounders /slugs

The sea was a little calm but a chilly light s/easterly breeze temp felt about minus 10 deg ,flounders were comming in straight away and kept us busy most of the night ,and they were
taking baits and hooks meant for something bigger [bass] .they had no problem swallowing 4/0
baited with 2 or 3 big lug . all the flounders were between 24 and 38 cm . there were a few
lads from tallaght up to right of us and they were having similar results .so lets hope things
start improving soon ..........the bass ban is nearly upon us
