Could anyone tell me is it worth fishing from this harbour using the rented boats for bottom fishing?
I have fished there recently but only for macky bashing but I remember fishing there in the 80,s with my grandad and I am sure he used to catch some decent fish, it would be nice if it was possible to take a trip down memory lane.

fishing is nothing like it used to be but in saying that there is still some decent fish to be had but they dont come easy you have to put the hours for them
Have a look at the recent boat reports and also the archived boat reports for some encouragement

Tried it twice down there last summer. It was hard work but we did take dabs, wrasse, pollock, and small codling. That was about July/August.
It ain't easy but it sure is simple!

Collimore harbour just up the road usually throws up some interesting fishing. Haven't fished it in a few years though.
