Duration:5 hrs

Tide:Incomimg

Weather:Not bad

Bait:Lug,Mackerel,Sandeel,Squid.

Rigs:2/3 hook flappers

Results:Rockling,Flats,Whiting.




Report:Fished Ballymoney last night and it was freezing with the east/south east winds but that did not put us off.we started at fishing at 5.30pm and after 10 mins i caught my first fish it was a Flounder of 28cm my next cast i caught anouther flounder and a small rockling of 24cm after that it was another 40mins before another fish came in J1 caught a small Whiting and i caught another flounder and a whiting,the fishing was a bit slow but i think it was to do with the Easterly Winds in the end we caught 2 Rockling 2 Whiting and 11 Flounder and Dabs.Ballymoney beach has changed from all the storms we had to fish well back from the water up past from the big rock..

It was cold alright :shock: . Thank's for posting,,,,at least there seems to be a few fish knocking about at last :wink:
Species '20 (14) 5 Beard Rockling, Shore Rockling, Codling, Whiting, Pollock, Coalfish, Pouting, Corkwing Wrasse ,Ballan Wrasse, Poor Cod, Dab ,Smoothhound,Flounder, Thornback Ray

Well done getting a few fish,,,This cold snap will be gone soon, and by then it will be Smoothie time.

i,d say alot of marks have changed over the last few weeks :| greystones south has snags in places i can,t ever remember snags and i,m fishing on it a few years now :oops: ,with all the shellfish and marine life getting washed ashore you would think the sea would be alive with feeding fish :roll: sign of the times :cry: hopefully the good weather will hit with a bang 8)
