Hi all,
Got an Abu Ambassadeur 7200 reel last year and only got round to getting it sorted with mono and braid last week. Its brand spanking new but ive noticed that the plastic gearing that connects to the brass line filler gearing is damaged. It looks like the brass gear has damaged the softer plastic, causing it to wreck some of the teeth. Im guessing that this is my own fault when putting the line on as it was perfect when I got it. Anybody know where I could get a spare gear part and a spare spool at the same time.
Many thanks
Abu 7200c

Picked up an ABU Seven C on Ebay a while ago with exactly the same problem, I got around it by just removing the plastic cog and the levelwind mechanism as I dont need the levelwind. However if I had a reel that was damaged after filling with line for the first time I'd damn well take it back regardless as to how long ago I bought it.
