cheers man. it seems really patchy for the pollack so far. some of our marks are fishing well for them while others seem barren. but sure it's still early in the year for them yet. hopefully we'll actually get a summer this year and get into them properlymackfish wrote:Nice fishing and an excellent report and read as always!!..
I can't wait to get into the pollock here in donegal, been out twice just so far this year but nothing!!..
Tight lines!

deffo man. we try to hit it when the seas are calm as any kind of swell results in heavier tackle losses there. but sure we do'nt mind losing a bit of gear so long as you get a few fishcathalger wrote:Was just thinking about a throw there at low tide today Al but it was bitterly cold and the wind coming from the SE I think. Its a hairy mark in anything easterly. Maybe tomorrow as low water is in mid afternoon. Its my only low tide pollack spot and probably one of the best! It fishes even better from a boat- cover more ground.

thanks wez, how's the form with ya man?kerrywez wrote:Well done lads nice to see a few good Pollock being caught up there. I had to do a double take on the bigger one as it looked like a cod, but the dark lateral line gave it away for what it was.
As usual a great report and very well written, with great pictures.
Regards Wez
it was good to get into something a bit better this early in the year, but sadly the better cod seem to have evaded us so far, but theres time yet
