5 Mile Point, Wicklow.

#1 Post by col »

People: me

Duration: 10.30 - 11.30am

Tide: high at 12ish I think

Weather: sunny, bit of wind

Bait: frozen mackerel

Rigs: flapper,1 cliped down

Results: 1 doggie and a p.b dab

Report: Meant to go to killoughter but took a wrong turn and ended up at 5 mile point so decided to just stay here. The beach was fairly busy, surprisingly. Caught my personal best dab of about just under 1 pound. It was a nice day for it.
At the entrance there was a good bit of litter, not strictly angling related but in the middle of it was a info sheet on the lidl rod bag, so unfortunately probably left by anglers.

Fair play to you col. Shame about the litter though. You'll have to update your species list now!
