One important point is always be prepared to be able to land a bonus fish. I always bring a 3 m long coarse match fishing net with me to land bonus fish after losing a big pollock when the line broke lifting it out of the water :-( the next time a big bonus fish came along the lrf rod easily got a 3 lb wrasse to the net for a quick pic and safe release back :-)

Amen to that brother! The fight you get off a bigger fish on LRF gear is amazing too...

Power isome is a great catcher. Works for most species. I use the large size pink colour. I use about 1/3 of a worm on a size 8 jig head to bounce slowly along the bottom.

Also had good good success with dropshot rigs + power isome

Exactly what this man said! ^

I sometimes like to fish an Inch of Isome, kept on with an inch of gulp white rag... bingo bango mini twin tail! Purists will tell you that Isome is cheating, but if you're having fun, who cares?

Don't discount getting a couple of the Ecogear aqua "pocket in" packs, they're also impregnated with goodies and have been very successful with those too..

What Rod and Reel Mainline are you throwing your lures with Dan? 7g seems awful heavy, don't think I've thrown 7g on any of my LRF rods yet, We tend to stick around the 1-3.5g sort of area...
