My son caught a big tope in the Swilly last year. I am hoping to match him this year. I would also like to catch a turbot or cod or any other good to eat fish. Last year I seemed to catch a lot of rays and mackerel. I am going to try Culdaff this year to see if I can catch a bigger variety.

You should have a good chance of a turbot in the swilly, around May we have had the from the shore on leenan beach, fish at low water on big tides.
As for Cod, if using Culdaff pier you will need to head east up towards Kinegoo, and about two mile out!
