My son caught a big tope in the Swilly last year. I am hoping to match him this year. I would also like to catch a turbot or cod or any other good to eat fish. Last year I seemed to catch a lot of rays and mackerel. I am going to try Culdaff this year to see if I can catch a bigger variety.

You should have a good chance of a turbot in the swilly, around May we have had the from the shore on leenan beach, fish at low water on big tides.dgallagher179 wrote:My son caught a big tope in the Swilly last year. As for Cod, if using Culdaff pier you will need to head east up towards Kinegoo, and about two mile out!
