Waterford

#1 Post by martin435 »

People: myself and a friend

Duration: 6pm till 10.30 pm

Weather: COLD

Bait: Crab mussel lug sandeel mack and razor fish

Rigs: various

Results: Me 5 flounder and 5 Coalfish and my friend got around 3 flounder and 4 Coalfish

Sick of slow fishing in the Wicklow beaches two of us headed to Waterford for a days fishing. Arrived as the tide was flooding in began fishing but soon needed to move as the tide came right in. following the relocation the fun started. Friend was first to pull in a nice flounder around 28 cm in length then I had one slightly larger after that a few small Coalfish showed around 25 cm mark. We found all the fish where right under our noses about 10 meters out. Two best fish of the night were Coalys one was about 2.5 or 3lbs. Great days fishing and will be skipping Wicklow and going that bit further from now on.
