People: myself ,des and the bro

Duration: 330 -930

Tide: lw 8.30 ish

Weather: strong sw winds

Bait: lug crab mack razor squid .....

Rigs: flappers and pullies

Results: whiting and one lone dab




Report: for anyone that wants to get a few bites this is the place to go .All be it only whiting But at this time of year you cant be to fussy. there were some nice little fish in amongst them . no matter what we put on the hook or how big a bait it still got devoured . some even managed to get 5/0 hooks into there gobs.
we were living in hope for a codling but no show .the sea was nice and choppy and looked perfect for one .maybe next week !!

fished from 8.30 till 12 last night with timod ,same results :lol: whiting whiting whiting ,timod stayed after me he was fishing till hw ,saving his lug for last few hours of the rise ,he managed a little rockling too ,on a 3/0 :lol: i was finding it a bit boring after a few hours i got whitingitis :lol:

Fished the pier in Greystones last night with D2 and Mo,,
More or less the same results as yourselves, WHITING all over the shop,,,biggest whiting was 29cm,,1 Coalie about 28cm,,,a Dab 27cm,,and a few Rockling..

fished greystones on wednesday night same results rock ling whiting and the lad beside me got a strap conger about 55 cm nice to see sum thing different

andy did the lad catch the eel of the pier ? i was thinking of giving it a go this week .
i think the tides are better this week so we might see something other than whiting

You were right to call it a day at 12 Roger, I fished until 4am and the fishing ending up going very slack over HW. Whiting started to show up in singles very few doubles or trebles. No other species bar that lone rockling.

Was there on sat nite from 6 till 11:30 at the driving range and it was great fishing for a competition,5 of us pulled in nearly 150 to 200 whiting between us all pretty good size,one of the lads pulled in a small cod about 30cm lonf and myself a flounder about 28cm long,it was a great nights fishing none stop is what ye want:-)

greystones sunday and same results.
is there an actual chance of catching a big fish ?
biggest ive seen is a 1lb rass
