Hi all,
i am looking for some practical assistance with my ability to cast a decent distance, my cast at the moment is no more than 60 meters at best, i have two ian gold international match rods and i do not think i am doing them justice, i use a very basic overhead thump and would like to change my whole casting technique in order to improve my casting distance, so if anybody can either give casting lessons or if you know anybody who does, i would apprecite some help, i am in the dublin region,
Thanks
Beechtrawler.

Re: Casting help
Hi Beech, the rods and I'm sure yourself are capable of plenty more, where are you based and we can get you sorted. Are they fixed spool or multi?

Re: Casting help
As dbrock said above, joining a club is a good option. A lot of lads are willing to lend a helping hand. West cork and district sac are planning a days casting for club members sometime over the next few months if you are interested. There wont be any proper coaches there but we have some very competent casters in the club who will be able to show you the basics if you were interested.
