Theres a great free app for smart phones, gvSIG Mini, you can choose which maps you want to use, Google Maps, Ordanance survey etc. Theres a list to choose from, great for filling in the blanks.
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Better again go on to the Marine Institute website and look at their 3D survey for various parts of the coast out to about 6/7 miles.

This identifies bottom terrain, ie ridges, peaks, low rough, mud ,sand and gravel areas. The info on this would be known generally only by commercial fishermen and is a very useful tool for identifying potential fishing spots for various species.

Have you got a link to the 3D survey? Can't find it on the site, must be going blind!
