Howya lads and ladys...
Been going out with a mate that has a boat but we really only fish Kilmore becasuse its the only spot we really know.
I live in dublin and would like to try a few local marks, north dublin or wicklow maybe but being new I havent a clue where to start.
So my question is; would anyone like to offer any advice on where to fish from the boat, we aint picky on the type of fish..
Im not looking for any secret locations, just somewhere local we can go for some pollock or cod. Or anything...lol

Cahore in north Wexford. It's an hours drive from the M50 (a little more if you're towing a boat) and so long as you avoid spring tides and easterly winds it's a great venue. Just motor out till you find 50ft of water, anchor up, and away you go. Tope, Huss, thornback ray & smoothound. Wicklow is a bit closer and also fishes well for these species. PM me if you want more info on Cahore, I've had a boat there since I was 12

As Rob says Cahore is your best bet, if you don't want to drive that far try Arklow, head right out of the port there is Bass fishing at Kilmichael point and if you go round to the bay in about 30ft of water you will pick up Ray, I have also had flounder, dabs, mackerel, gurnard from these marks.
