Old Bawn Cahore.

#1 Post by fishfeatures »

People: ME

Duration: 2 hrs

Tide: rising

Weather: clear skies but slight wind about

Bait: Frozen lug,crab and razor

Rigs: Pennel and pulleys

Results:BLANK!!!

Report: After reading a thread on here about lack of reports, I would be a culprit of reading them not writing them. So had some bait left from a previous trip and with the weather seemingly to be a little better than the last couple of weeks I decided to head out to Old Bawn in chore. Surprised I stuck it out so long, as although no sign of heavy weeding on the beach, each cast just attracted the stuff like a magnet , and every time i was reeling in loads of it. None of my heavy weights or grippers could keep the cast in place, always got dragged down to my left due to the weed. Had a few bites but couldn't detect them due to the action of the weed on the line. Packed up went home to the fire... best call of the evening . Am now longer a reporting virgin , hopefully next one will have more success.
There's a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like an idiot
