headed out early today fully loaded with huge lug, razor, crab, one mackeral aimed to fish surf beach up to hour after low and head for painted then for darkness.was greeted with lovely surf on beach and set up two rods with lug took about 40 mins first fish bass 45, then another 46. after that two flounder one more bass 48.plan b move on.2 rods out with crab lug bang hard take on one at distance strike fish on lively 51cm cod out again not to long another cod 48cm then a coalie 42 , dogs appeared two then a whiting. then the best hour fishing i had this year 5 painted ray to 78cm 2 small rest over 5lb 2 more dogs 57 cm cod one whiting to finish great session best of 2012 so far

Great session. There seems to be a good few coalies around the 40cm mark about at the moment. Surprised ye only got one. Hopefully the ray will still be about at the weekend.
