The Wall Monkstown 2/12/12

#1 Post by seanbah »

People: Myslef

Duration: About 2 hours

Tide: Half hour before low water and a hour and a half after low water

Weather: Calm, Overcast

Bait: Razor Makerel and my secret bait for monkstown if you dont have crab ;)

Rigs: Pullys and 1 up 1 down clipped

Results: About 10 fish whiteing pouting and a lovely dab. No co

Report: Decided to do a bit off fishing today down monkstown came down around 1. Set up the rods and put on a pully rig with a bit of mackerel within 5 min a nice whiting, after that for about a hour i had no luck with mackerel and razor except 3 or 4 small whiting and a pouting, so i decided to throw on the secret bait first cast double shot of a lovely whiting and a big dab, after that a i had a 1 more nice whiting and another few small fish. All in all happy with the result 3 nice whiting for dinner and i returned the dab.

Photos to follow later on just uploaded them to my album waiting for them to be approved.

Those are fine whiting from the shore, 2 years ago I was getting plenty of whiting around 22-24cm, last year a good few around 30-33cm so this year I'm looking forward to some similar to yours! Great dab also.

Jellybait
There is loads of room on the wall it's fairly long so you should have no problem finding a spot
