Hello all,
Fished redrock yesterday for a few hours with m.b3. Fished from Low tide up for about 3 hours. Bait was peeler crab. About an hour and a half into the rise I got a cracker of a bite with the ratchet going and the rod nodding over. Picked it up and reeled in one of the feistiest flounder ive ever seen. The water was coloured and the way it zig - zagged on the way in we both thought it was a small bass. It measured 43cm and was the only fish of the session although mark missed a bite soon after that. A lovely evening and nice to get a half decent fish close to home.
Cracking flounder Sean, was it any way thin from spawning or was it in good nick? Had some long but thin ones two weeks ago and was just wondering is it the same countrywide.

Donal who I fished with last friday had a fine flounder of 44cm, when weighed though it only tipped the scales at a pound and a half, very slim altogether.
