Report:fished crosshaven shore comp tonight staked on deep water quay early signs good i got a cod at distance fred got three good whiting christy cod whiting all first cast
got quiet for me then for a while while fred and christy and tom started hitting good whiting eventually i got one and a couple moe mean while a few fish been caught other end conger whiting cod chap next to me lost a good lobster lifting over railing, i then got a good tap and rod bent hard, struck fish on, called a good fish on and wrongly said conger after a spirited battle and staying deep til under my rod tip i was happily surprised to sea fine ray 6/7 lb now the fun began had to walk him good distance up pier to steps not going to try and haul him upright. got him to steps and thanks to christy for going down and lifting him out for me .well chuffed first ray for me here ended up second in comp well done martin last cast again
