Weather: fisrt nice then lighting. second flat calm frost.

Bait: all frozen types.

Rigs: 2/3 hook + pullys

Results:

Report: went out for the first session in a long time. had a newbie with me but he had a good idea what had to be done. we started on the local beach but nothing going so we went to the pier. the night started to get rough with big winds comming in and what we taught sounded like thunder. first cast i taught i was stuck in the bottom with maybe a coalie on cause i coud feel a head shake through the line. after a bit of work i landed a 41cm rockling. a pb for me. biggest ive seen yet. the newbie seen a rod shake and on bringing it in he landed a rockling 25cm and a dog so delighted for him to be off the mark. the night went bad to worse with lighting comming in so a quick pack up and session over. next session we went back to the beach night was perfect dropping tide so lines out . 2 rods each 2 in near 2 out far. first rod i went to cast out far the rod tip broke so down a rod . with a bad start newbie said FISH ON... so a quick look and his first flounder on the way over i knocked over my gas lantern that broke the mantal. so after a few hours with the only fish cought on the beach and afer loosing 2 rigs from the leader down we decide to pack up. hope fully the next session will be better. the newbie is doing well roll on the next session.

cheers lucky thats the main thing that the newbie was getting results. and he called earlyer and has just got more tackle so i think hes hooked... .

very sorry to hear that dan, but if it makes you feel better, i know a guy lost rod and reel to the great briney cos he had no drag set hehe
