Good going John! I was there out there Saturday during the day and fished off the end of the pier around high tide. Managed a couple of small coalies in close but lost a lot of gear on the rod further out. Don't know whether it had something to do with the volume of weed about or if I was just unlucky. Moved to beach and pulled in another couple of small coalies before calling it a day.

Good going, well done. I don't know if its related but when I went out on the kayak last Sat, there was a lot of weed washed up on the shore at silver strand plus I lost a hell of a lot of rigs farther out. The water was the colour of mud, maybe due to the rough and wet weather we've had. I was usin rigs tipped with sandeels that were bein constantly stripped. Maybe by wrasse or whiting :?:
I got a good sized Pollack on a soft plastic and another fella got 2 pollack when trolling a lure.
