It's been wayyy too long. First time back on a beach with a rod in what must be 4 or 5 years
Anyway... Was spending the weekend down in Wexford so decided to rescue the rods from the shed and get back in the habbit.
Bit of a disaster when I got to the beach and realised I'd taken the wrong two rod pieces for the beach caster!!
... so I had to make do with using just the small rod... Reeled in a Whiting on the first cast (Never lost it!)... and 2nd Cast (Don't remember this being this easy!)... picked up a few more whiteing and 2 small rockling after that. Although I was only out for 2 hours (Was restricted for time), it was really enjoyable and I'm itching to get back out now more regularly
Excellent (for taking the Rods out of the shed) and for getting back into it with a few fish well done.I'd say you'll never mix up your Rod pieces in future
